Tristina Dietz Elmes

Tristina is co-founder of TRAX Art Studios, is a self-taught abstract & mixed media artist, and has a burning passion for teaching ART!

She spent her childhood in Asia (Chinese was her first language 😆) where she developed a love of Chinese calligraphy -->> she has even created her own form of Asian Fusion Graffiti that you will often find in her paintings. 🀄 An avid philatelist (stamp collector) from a young age, you will also often see postage stamps from around the world embedded in Tristina's mixed media artworks.

When not creating fine art paintings, she records online art workshops, teaches live adult art classes and travels all over North America giving painting presentations for the Pebeo paint company. 🌎 Tristina is a Certified Mixed Media by Pebeo Product Specialist and an R&F Handmade Paints Certified Advanced Encaustic Wax Painting Instructor.

Tristina's areas of expertise include mixed media, acrylic painting, Pebeo paints, liquid oil paints, artistic calligraphy, encaustic wax painting, resin & acrylic pour painting, oil & cold wax painting, understanding composition & color theory, art journaling, and art marker play. Wow, that was a mouthful! 😜
